In a time of push or pull of what to do with your 4-year-old, Popcorns Play To Learn is the perfect place to aid them with their transition into the elementary school setting with ease.  Being 4 years old can be a tough time, as they may be in between emotionally aging out of daycare or preschools, play based learning and delving into full on elementary school directed by the Unified School District. TK is designed to be the stepping stone into kindergarten.  This program is designed to give the children a space to continue their development but in a smaller group setting.  Allowing them to focus on a comprehensive curriculum based on social-emotional, physical, cognitive and language development, literacy, math and science.  For example, we help with their transition literally by way of conversations about their day during our Mid-day meetings, creative thinking and Public Speaking (individual pace) activities.  We provide a safe space to share thoughts, ideas, ask questions and support areas of struggle. Our goal is to assist the TK teachers by helping students one by one feel confident and accomplished as they learn and play in ways that a 4-year-old is most comfortable doing so, naturally.

We strive to create an atmosphere of enthusiasm for learning. We encourage curiosity, active problem solving, creativity, respect for self and others, laughter, and positive socialization. We continue to still make time for cuddling and talking while instilling trust, security and providing comfort.
